After graduating undergrad at UCSC, I began looking for a local position as a scribe to gain clinical experience for my application to medical school. Gratefully, I found myself at Evolve Restorative Center, where I’ve gained more clinical knowledge and practical skills than I ever thought possible in 2 years. I’ve had many roles within the practice, from the clinic floor to the operating room. This August, I will be starting Medical School at St. George’s University. I can proudly say I’ve formed nurturing, professional relationships at ERC that I will carry throughout my future career in medicine!

I first met Dr. Pope in 2017 at a job fair for my CNA class. I had taken the class as a nursing school application prerequisite. It was clear to see that working with Dr. Pope was an incredible opportunity to make a powerful impact on people’s lives by managing their pain and improving their quality of life. During my first interview with Dr. Pope, I expressed my desire to continue my education and that I was applying to nursing programs. To my surprise, the request was met with support and encouragement. As with most of us Covid delayed my acceptance to the SRJC ADN Nursing Program. In the spring of 2022, I was officially accepted into the program I had been applying to ever since that first Interview. By this time the Practice had grown substantially, the support and excitement from everyone was inspiring. Evolve Restorative Center’s backing was pivotal to my success by allowing me to focus on my education. I graduated in 2024 with honors and was the recipient of The Nightingale Award. I am proud to say I currently hold a position on the Cardiac Telemetry Unit at Sutter. I firmly believe a large part of my success was grounded in the support I received on this journey from the team at Evolve Restorative Center.
